Judicial information- audience of September 13, 2019

On September 13, 2019, the Bobigny tribunal de grande instance examined the requests of three victims of the drug Androcur. It was a question of setting up legal expertise in which the Bayer laboratory, the ONIAM (National Office for Medical Accidents) and the ANSM (National Agency for Medicines) will participate.

The Bayer laboratory opposed these expertise by advancing legal arguments to affirm that it would not be possible to obtain compensation afterwards. It is a very classic argument for laboratories who always refuse to participate in legal expertise. The judges have already refused several times to follow these arguments of the laboratories. 

The Dante law firm recalled that these expertise was essential so that it was noted the link between meningioma and the taking of Androcur as well as the laboratory delay to alert the risk of meningioma.

Decisions will be rendered by the judge on October 26.
Until then, other expertise requests will be examined by the magistrates.
