Our raison d'être

We want to raise awareness of this tumor, and ultimately, that there will be no more victims of progestin hormone treatments that induce this tumor.

Amavea est une association pour soutenir chaque patiente et patient, victime de méningiomes. 



L’association a été agréée par la Ministère des Solidarités et de la Santé le 8 juillet 2020 (Journal Officiel)

Le but de l’association Amavea est de soutenir chaque victime potentielle ou avérée souffrant de méningiome qui nous contacte. Le méningiome est un effet secondaire grave des progestatifs de synthèse et des œstrogènes de synthèse.

Tous ces traitements, sans exception, sont mis en cause dans la survenue de méningiomes. Ces tumeurs intracrâniennes peuvent se révéler particulièrement dangereuses. Ainsi, il nous tient à cœur de recueillir et diffuser toute information sur ce sujet.

Le méningiome est souvent désigné comme un tumeur « bénigne ». Ce terme scientifique cache une maladie qui n’a rien de bénin. Ces tumeurs sont complexes à soigner, demandent parfois des opérations chirurgicales délicates et de longues convalescences. Cette maladie peut bouleverser la vie des personnes touchées.
