A brain zone, a function: for more than a century, it was proclaimed that the brain was operating according to a so -called localizationist , in which a brain area was supposed to correspond to a given function (movement, attention, language or affect). In fact, any lesion of one of these areas considered to be critical should lead to severe and definitive neurological consequences.
