Pharmacovigilance operation
The health vigilances are based on the participation of the health professionals concerned, via their declarations, and on the active involvement of those of them designated to exercise specific responsibilities within the vigilance networks:
- At a local level : local hemovigilance correspondents, material, biovigilance, reactovigilance, pharmacovigilance for blood derived drugs
- and/or a regional level : regional pharmacovigilance centers, regional hemovigilance coordinators, evaluation and information centers on pharmacodependence).
Hemovigilance is the only vigilance to have a local network and a regional network (led by the regional hemovigilance coordinator (CRH)) attached to a Regional Health Agency (ARS).
In practice, health professionals report incidents or adverse effects to vigilance networks which, after analysis, declare them to the ANSM.
The correspondents or coordinators also participate in the animation of vigilance networks at the level of their intervention territory (local and regional levels)….
