Meningioma is a tumor of the meninges, which is most often in the skull, but can also be located in the spine. There is very complete documentation on the Internet explaining this disease. Doctors and, in particular, neurosurgeons can explain these tumors in a very clear way.
The AMAVEA association works to help patients better understand as to face meningiomas.
In this context, we have set up, in collaboration with surgeons, several practical sheets that you will find below. Other documents will soon be available such as the patient booklet we are working on.
Thanks to our support group on Facebook, to the people operated or not that we know personally, to our members, to our own experience, we have a clear and practical vision of how to live with a meningioma, how to face the operation, what are the alternative solutions to the operation, how to live convalescence after the operation of a meningioma.
Each testimony of people with one or more meningiomas that we have heard has touched us and also allowed to better understand the path traveled when we suffer from this disease. We hope that the documents made available to you will be able to provide you with the information and support necessary.
