Marie-Annick, operated in 2024, lutenyl for endometriosis

73 years old, operated in early 2024, here is my testimony:

During the year 2023 I felt tired and depressed, in addition to my generalist I therefore consulted magnetizer, hypnotist, naturopath etc ... .. and thought that the concern I had for my very sick sister (cancer) was the cause of my malaise.

My doctor therefore treated me in this direction.

My husband was worried about my memory loss and moments of absence (which I was not aware), even mini epilepsy (muscle contractions, "discharges" in the legs in bed)

It was by accompanying me with our general practitioner and explaining these details to the doctor that he asked for a brain MRI. I can say thank you to my husband.

  • 06/10/23 IRM has detected a voluminous meningioma of the anterior floor of the skull base, this lesion measures 39 mm in height, 33 mm in tansversal diameter, 47 mm of anteroposterior diameter and a bulky paragangliom at the level of the jugulocarotid vascular space of 35 mm replacing in front of the carotide,
  • 10/10/23 ENT scanner. The examination finds a mass compared to the right jugulocarotidian vascular space measuring 25 mm in transverse diameter, 27 mm in anteroposterior diameter and 45 mm in height, repressing in front of the carotid and the jugular laterally.
  • 01/17/23 Assessment of a right jugulocarotida underfaction
  • 02/01/24 Priority was given to the meningioma operation. Supported at the Rouen University Hospital, a complex, delicate and disturbing operation for us, but the surgeon was satisfied with the operation.
  • 08/03/24 Cerebral MRI Control of a meningioma from the anterior floor of the base of the operated skull. Stability of the right jugulocarotidism paraganglioma.

Note that the surgeon refuses to attempt the operation of paraganglioma that is too many risks . Following the intervention great fatigue and desire for nothing, want to do nothing, neither come out nor see anyone. 60% hearing loss on the right.

I gradually regain strength and do my household chores. Of course a trauma, worries for me and those around me. Physically I took a stroke of old wrinkles on the face.

Big lost memory problem, some notorious examples:

  • No memory of various trips including Venice etc ...
  • No memory of the holidays with our children and grandchildren
  • I do not recognize people I meet and forgot to have been invited to dinner at home
  • Death of my mom in 2012
  • My stepfather who had a cut leg (gardening accident)
  • What about plants and flowers of our large garden, of which I have forgotten all the names, since 1998 I record each plant purchase and this year I watch for the flowering of each of them to find their names on my notebooks.

During the CHU maintenance I was asked if I had followed a progestin treatment; Having forgotten everything I replied "no". Since then I came out various medical documents, mammograms etc ... and I found a saying that I took lutenyl for endometriosis. Having a normal life and good health I did not understand the origin of this tumor.
