I introduce myself, Ms. Claire X, 27, I took Androcur from June 2011 to January 2019. This pill was prescribed because of hypercholesterolemia of family origin. Since January 31, 2019, my gynecologist has stopped treatment by evoking the results of studies leading to appearances of meningioma.
In June 2019, I receive a letter from health insurance indicating the undesirable effects of the taking of Androcur in the short, medium and long term .. and advising me to pass a brain MRI to rule out all suspicions.
I went to see my doctor to have a prescription for a brain MRI. I spent it on November 4, 2019, and reading the results on D -Day, I understand and read black on white, that I have a meningioma. I wouldn't say that I collapsed but it put a big blow in morale and a lot of questions in mind.
When my doctor received me to see the results of the MRI, he did not expect this result at all and seemed sad.
Since January 31, 2019, my gynecologist has prescribed Lotényl and/or Lotéran (according to ruptures) which prove to be not compatible in the event of meningiomas according to the Internet.
This morning, I leave my gynecologist, she prescribed a micro pill because there were no results on Lutenyl and/or Luteran studies.
